What I finished Reading this week –
Where did I leave off last week? Oh yes I was reading Lover
at Last, book 11 in the black dagger brotherhood series. It didn’t disappoint, I mean I guess I’m not
sure what I expected in terms of the boy on boy sex scenes and all but they
were HOT. There were some side stories happening that I could have done
without, but I guess those side stories may be the beginning of love stories to
come…so OK. I’ll say it again and again,
read the BDB series!
At what point did 370 pages books become short reads? I mentioned last week that after I finished
Lover at Last I was going to read Me Before You, and I did, but it wasn’t
exactly a short read. It was an AMAZING
book though. Seriously! It was kind of along the lines The Fault in our Stars
by John Green, but different and better almost.
A controversial subject matter/kind of romance at the same time. I was balling reading the end of this story
and was made fun of relentlessly by my husband.
So read the book, but when you’re close to the end make sure your
husband or significant other isn’t around!
After that book I moved onto Where she Went by Gayle
Foreman. This book is a sequel to If I Stay and wasn’t nearly as emotional to
read as the first book. I would
recommend reading both of them.
I finished listening to Covet by J.R. Ward. It was good, but not amazing. Nothing like
her Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
Depending on what I have on my to be read list, I’ll most likely finish
this series. It’s just different.
Currently reading/listening to –
I have several things going right now. I have an issue at work and for some reason I
can’t listen to my audio books from the library on my computer! I don’t know if
it’s just the disc or what because I can listen to them in my CD play at home
and in my car? So my friend lent me a
book from Audible and I can listen to it on my phone. Amazing.
So I’m listening on my phone to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Just started so I don’t really
have anything to share about it.
I just started reading The name of the Wind by Patrick
Rothfuss and I got like 4 pages in last night before I fell asleep, so I also
have nothing to share on this one.
I am listening to Don’t Tempt Me by Sylvia day in the
car. She wrote the Crossfire series that
I enjoyed so I was parusing the library and saw this and picked it up on a
whim. About 2.5 discs in and am enjoying it so far. But its kind of a
historical book and so I’m really just getting through some background right
now.
What’s up Next –
That’s a great question. I have several things at the
library I need to pick up, although I think I should focus on what I have in
front of me right now:) but waiting for me to pick up:
The last letter from your lover by Jojo Moyes. Becaue I
loved Me Before You so much. Her other
work must be good right?
So until next week, Happy Reading!!
