Weekly Menu

I’ve done it again! Planned our weekly menu so that I could limit what I needed to buy to make it happen.  But my husband went to the grocery store with me yesterday and we ended up getting sea scallops and buffalo chicken nugget for him to munch on…why oh why did I bring him?  Also Ben has requested that we not go to dinner at the farm this week.  His brother has been sending him some pretty nasty text messages so Ben would like to keep himself out of that situation and be the bigger person, which means another night I have to cook!

Sunday – Ben’s birthday dinner – stuffed chicken, sea scallops, and ciabatta bread

Monday – grilled chicken salads

Tuesday – BLT’s

Wednesday – hard taco’s or burgers

Thursday – Leftovers

Friday – I’m out to dinner with some friends:)

Last night’s dinner was amazing and I don’t know why I don’t bother to put effort into dinner more often! Ha.  What I had to buy at the grocery this week for dinner was nothing…well sea scallops but those weren’t originally part of the menu.

I did have to get basics again: kale, bananas, strawberry’s, bread and milk.  So again my grocery list was small!  I know I can keep this up and I’m saving gobs of money by giving myself an actual budget.  I mean I’ve tried it before but now I have envelopes that keep my monthly allowances in and its really helping to keep myself on track
