Well half a gallery wall at this point. I have a vaulted wall behind my sofa and I have had the hardest time figuring out what to do with it. I had a very large painting up there that my mother in law gave me, but I never really liked it. It was just something she bought at Home Goods until I figured out what I wanted. One day I came home from work and it had fallen down and ripped. So for the past 2ish months the wall has been blank.
I wanted to do a gallery wall, but I couldn’t find the right frames and I didn’t want to break the bank. Several years ago I found a website where you can print for free color botanical prints and I loved loved them but wasn’t sure where to use them. Until recently. Pinterest + my desperate need to do something on that huge wall = gallery wall.
I found frames on sale for 50% off at Michaels and then I had a 20% off all picture frames coupon so for about $85 I purchased 15 good looking frames. I could have done it for way less, but it wouldn’t have looked as good and why spend $60 on something you don’t love 100% when you could spend $100 and totally love it?! Then I printed botanical prints off of this website – Vintage Printables. I was really impressed because the quality of these prints was really nice.
Here are some progress pictures while the frames were still laying on my floor. I need a couple more frames because several were damaged and 1 I used to give my father in law his fathers day gift it…hey it came in handy.
Finished product to come soon!!
