I don’t know how Thursday come so quickly!
Ever wonder how I get so much reading done? Well it’s because I have the two cutest dogs every laying with me while I snuggle on the sofa with a book!
This week I didn’t read as much as the week before, but I did venture out. I put down the Black Dagger Brotherhood series books for long enough to enjoy other books. Go figure?!
In the Car - The Great Gatsby by F.S. Fitzgerald. This is a read worth 25 points for the category: read a classic. Why again is this a classic? I didn’t love it.
I started Dune Road. I’m not far enough into it to really tell you my thoughts on it…..so until next week:)
Reading – I finished Life’s a Beach and well, that’s about all I have to say about that book. I didn’t love it. Sure it was a quick easy read but I found myself wanting more.
I also read The Midwife’s Confession by Diane Chamberlain. I’ve seen this book on my goodreads suggestions about a million times and so I decided I’d read it for the category: read a book with a goodreads rating of 4 stars or higher….so I did! What an amazing read. I would suggest this to almost any woman to read....but not a pregnant woman. At every turn I found myself guessing what I thought was going to happen in the story only to find out I was wrong. I wasn’t a hard read, but it also wasn’t a quick read and I appreciated that about this book.
Next up! – I’m starting the Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan tonight. My mother in law’s cousin wrote it and I’ve read some mixed reviews, but still I’m excited because it was on the New York times bestsellers list, and well it’s my mother in law’s cousin! and i'm proud even though I've never met this woman.
