HSG Complete

24 October 2012

That wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t terrible either.  The worst part was that I have a curved cervix so when trying to put the catheter in to shoot the water into my uterus it took quite some time. The first time they were in there they used these clamp things to try and make my cervix bigger and that didn’t work. So then they ended up having to stop, do an ultrasound, and then go back in and try again.  I was bleeding and well it was odd.

Besides that everything was fine. And they even said that a curved cervix is fairly common so it’s nothing to be worried about.  There is no blockage in tubes anywhere. What my doctor did was shoot water into my cervix and then watched on an ultrasound machine to see if the water traveled through the uterus and into the fallopian tubes and made it all the way to my overies. and the water flowed right in!  I had decent sized follicles on my right ovary….so they took some blood and they said they would call me later today once they had those results and set up my next appointment.

I’m not currently in any pain, a little crampy but not enough that I feel like I need to take Motrin or anything.

So far so good. all things are looking clear so let’s just keep our fingers crossed that I don’t randomly ovulate early this cycle while Ben is in Montana.  If I ovulate late in my cycle like I normally do then Ben will be getting home right in time to impregnate meJ
