My Weekly Menu

I have to get back into this, we’re eating poorly and spending too much.  So I took my meal planning to a new level. I’m planning dinners and buying as little as possible to make them happen.

So here is this week’s menu and I will note at the end what I had to purchase to make these dinners happen.  If I didn’t buy it that means it was in my refrigerator, pantry, or freezer!

 
Sunday – Shrimp pad Thai

Monday – hard taco’s for Ben (I’ll actually just have a salad w/ taco meat on it)

Tuesday – dinner at the Farm (in-laws)

Wednesday – Italian chuck roast in the crockpot

Thursday – leftovers

Friday – grilled chicken salad

So yesterday when I went grocery shopping I had to buy regular stuff like salad, and apples….I didn’t even need bread or lunch meat since I had some that I threw in the freezer before we left for Mexico.   What I need to purchase to make dinner happen:

  • Shrimp
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded cheese
And that’s it.  3 items and everything else we had.  Did you plan dinners for your family this week?

  1. Good job. I must admit I love doing our groceries/meal plans in advance now and would be lost and incredibly poor if I didn't. I already did my list for this Friday and the only item I need for our suppers is sour cream. Everything else on my shopping list is just sale items to add to our pantry and the basics like milk and fruits.
