First off let me say that there were an obscene amount of
people there! Holy Cow. I believe they said somewhere around 7000 people
participated in the race. The proceeds from the event go to the Boys and Girls
club of America, so it’s a good cause!
Here is a before shot

And here is after

I have a couple more really cool photos that I’d like to
share.
Here I am about ½ way through the race….not to messy yet!

Of course Janet and I needed a drink after the race –

And they do this dye bomb where everything throws their dye
up in the air at the same time…which was so cool to be apart of, although I
like couldn’t breathe for a minute!

Also race etiquette: don’t smoke at the finish line, I have
no desire to inhale your smoke, ever.
Also, if you’re walking a race move out of the way so the runners can run! I swear I ran in zig zags the entire time. I actually overheard a lady telling her friend that you’re not really supposed to RUN the Run or Dye, it’s a walking event…but some very young girls like to run it. Um no, it’s called Run or Dye, not Walk or Dye?
Next time this is in your area I highly suggest you
participate. I wish I would have brought my niece with me because there were a
lot of young kids there and they loved it.
The dye is all organic and washes off so you don’t need to worry about
it harming you or your munchkins.
