So we talked with the doctor about all sorts of issues and
discussed different tests that can be done to rule out any blockages or
vericocele issues. She said she wanted
him to go to get an ultrasound, which is something I requested, so I was happy
about that. I also asked her to send him
for blood work to check his hormone levels, like testosterone to make sure they
were all in check.
The thing that bothered me most about her was that as I was
asking questions and talking about stuff with her she kept patting my hand and
laughing at me, telling me I was young and that I needed to slow down because
she didn’t move that fast and she made me feel bad about my questions.
I guess I know more than some might if they were going to an
initial visit at the urologist for IF, but still I didn’t like the way she made
me feel bad for my questions. Since she
isn’t an IF specialist if any of Ben’s blood work or his ultrasound come back
showing an issue I think we’ll request to move onto a specialist.
I’m torn between hoping there’s and issue and of course
hoping there’s not! You never want there
to be something wrong with a loved one but if he had like wonky testosterone
levels and could take some meds to fix it and that would fix his low sperm
count, that could be amazing for us…but its unlikely the fix would be that
easy, although I want to rule all those items out before we move onto IVF.
::Sigh::
I hope everyone has a good weekend. I’m sure my husband will be a peach tonight
seeing as how he had his ballz groped today and his prostate checked. I was supposed to go out tonight for drinks
with the girls but there is lots of sickness running around so that’s not
happening anymore. I’m sure I’ll get
some reading in:)
