I know you’re wondering how much weight I lost this week. Well you’ll have to wait till the end of the blog.
This week hasn’t been as terrible for me as I thought it would.. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I love salads, fruits, vegetables and nuts! The hardest part was not drinking coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The caffeine withdraw was terrible. For the first 3 days I had a headache like no other that no amount of IBU or Excedrin could get rid of. It didn’t subside until Thursday. And no wine at night really sucked. Sometimes you just want a drink at the end of the day! And then on Saturday night we had a party for my husband’s 30th birthday and not drinking wasn’t as miserable as I would have thought. That was like getting myself ready for when I’m pregnant and not able to drink.
Otherwise, I feel great. Like awesome. I’m sleeping great, waking up early and not sluggish, I don’t feel tired throughout the day, rather I’m excited to do stuff…and I am just happy. And also, sorry for this extra bit of info but I’m pooping great! I’ve always been a several time a day person but now they’re harder poops. Does that make sense, not that it’s harder to poop….whatever I’ll stop while I’m ahead. Hopefully ahead. Hopefully none of my readers that don’t exist will stop reading:)
I did several years ago try a vegetarian diet. I would do 6 months on 6 months off. I did not feel this good on that plan. Maybe because I still was eating so much dairy and carbohydrates…probably the case. My skin looks great, and I’ve had lots of compliments on my hair….
The hardest day of the week was on Sunday. I was cleaning and it was raining out and I wanted to snack. Ben had chicken nuggets and French fries for dinner and I had to eat my salad in the other room. My mouth is watering still now! Aaahhh.
OK. Onto the detailed review.
New foods I’ve tried:
Pineapple – OK in a smoothie
Grapefruit – not so much
Almond Butter – not too shabby
Alfalfa Sprouts – OK once I got over the texture I thought was weird at first, kinda reminded me of cheese
Granny smith apple – like it in a smoothie but the skin is tough and so I didn’t like it to eat as a snack
Chili covered mango – dried fruit from TJ’s…sooo good! spicy, but a good snack. Especially since I can only handle one at a time!
