What to do, What to do

My husband is leaving town this weekend and all I can think of is all the stuff I'll be able to get done around the house!

I have lists actually.

and I'm wanting to move and change things...clean stuff.

There are so many big projects around our house to tackle, but if I can get a couple of small ones done than i'll have more time, energy, and motivation to do the big ones, right?

One area of our house that drives me bonkers is inside our back door.  you walk in through the garage and the laundry room is on the right and the kitchen is straight ahead.  I don't feel like I have somewhere to drop the mail or put my purse....so I've been thinking about putting a piece of furniture there. 

I found several last night:

I love the second one, but I don't think its a good use of space, so maybe the first one is best but in black not white.....but then I started thinking these were all too big.

I mean I just don't know.  any suggestions out there? to all the people not reading this blog? hahaha

Don't worry though. before I do something I'll take a before and after picture.
