2012 Whole Living Challenge – Week 3

This week started good. I felt great and was completely energized.  Then I went down to the shore for a girls weekend and it all went down the drain. Seriously. Read below for more details.

Day 15

b- kale, gala apple, banana, pineapple, parsley and water smoothie
s- apple
l- mixed salad w/ sunflower seeds and Dijon vinaigrette
d- gluten free pasta w/ veggies and soyaki sauce
s – 4 carrots and hummus (if I snack on this too long I won’t stop!)

Day 16

b- kale, gala apple, bananna, parsley and water smoothie
S – none
l – leftover gluten free pasta w/ veggies
s – apple
d – salad w/ nuts and dried berries, avocado and Dijon vinaigrette

Day 17

b- kale, gala apple, banana, parsley, almond butter and water smoothie
S – apple and a handful of sunflower seeds
l – leftover gluten free pasta w/ veggies and soyaki sauce
s – nuts - almonds
d – Roasted onions and broccoli, carrots and cauliflower topped with sea scallops + 1 scrambled egg

Day 18

b- celery, avocado, granny smith apple + water – not my fave just kind of blah
S – apple
l – roasted veggies w/ sunflower seeds
s – nuts – roasted peanuts and almonds
d – leftovers - gluten free pasta w/ veggies and soyaki sauce ( must finish tonight. I liked this but have had enough)
s – cauliflower and hummus and 1 chili covered dried mango

Friday am – notes:  I’m cheated this weekend.  I had a planned weekend away with the girls (read my last post) and well I drank and I ate food I shouldn’t but whateveski’s.  I resumed  the detox when I got home. Its cinco de mayo, chips and salsa!  Why don’t Mexican restaurants have gluten free chips? They should.

Also I weighed myself Friday morning, just in case my splurging goes too far:) Friday am – 127.0


Day 19

b- - kale, gala apple, banana, parsley, water smoothie + some of the leftovers of Thursdays smoothie which was boring.
S – apple
l – salad w/  sunflower seeds and Dijon vinaigrette
s – none
d – leftovers - gluten free pasta w/ veggies and soyaki sauce – very small amount almost felt like I didn’t eat dinner
s – mixed nuts, gluten free chips w/ hummus and carrots and humus.

And lots of wine.

Day 20
b-  kale, gala apple, banana, parsley, water smoothie
S – apple
l – chips and salsa, chicken quesadilla and 2 margaritas
s – none
d – grilled chicken salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette and sweet potato fries

a fishbowl, beer and only 1 shot:) we danced a lot though….so that should count for something.

oh yeah and pizza at 2 am.

Day 21
b- eggs, onion, crabmeat  and mixed fruit (and a mimosa)
S – none
l – leftover eggs
s – carrots and hummus
d – shrimp salad w/ Dijon vinaigrette, roasted butternut squash


Weight at the end of week three - 131

Total Weight Loss – 6.4 lbs

You do remember seeing above that on Friday morning I weighed 127 right?!

DUDE!!! Look how much weight I gained over the weekend.  And I feel like crap. Honestly.  I was so bloated and gassy all day on Sunday and my stomach looked ridiculous.  I could not believe how much the food and alcohol effected the way I felt.  And I still feel terrible this morning.  I’m bloated and my bm’s are off….I’m not hungry and I slept terrible last night.

I think I will forever be changed by this detox.  Seriously.

The detox is really a 3 week detox, but there is a 4th week they call the bonus week where they help you reintroduce certain foods back into your diet.  I am back on the detox.  I honestly feel like I should go back to week one!
