I needed this girls weekend. It was my friend Brittany’s birthday (check out her blog) so Janet and I drove down to Rehoboth/Dewey for the weekend to celebrate with her! Friday night after we arrived, we just kind of laid low. Drank some wine (thank gawd it was amazeballz) and just chatted. There was a small amount of karaoke but it wasn’t out of control.
At least from what I can remember.
Saturday morning we woke up and went yard sailing. Honestly I hadn’t done this in years and we had so much fun. Quite possibly the best score was “Girl Talk” for .50 cents. Brittany found these huge crab traps for only $5 a piece and Janet bought a piece of corning wear.
The morning was a bit chilly unfortunately. We really wanted to take naps on the beach but instead walked the shops and I found a new sweatshirt. I love vacation sweatshirts. And we went to Que Pasa for our Cinco de Mayo lunch!
My mouth is still watering from the chips and salsa. And the MARGARITAS!!! I went all out and got a quesadilla for my meal. I mean how could I resist, if I was going to cheat on my diet I was going to enjoy every bite of it:)
After that, some free chicken.
NOT, but we tried. Apparently 11-2 was an AM thing, like lunchtime? Whatevskis.
One long nap (Baby Boom the movie) and a game of girl talk later, we were off to the bar!
We danced and drank and had a fun time….until we somehow got stuck talking to the band for a good 20 minutes. I told the girls on Sunday I would prefer never be in a situation like that again. NO, we do NOT want to go back to your hotel room with you….and we ran.

this last photo was taken right after we purchased a $20 pizza. This is apparently a whole pizza a Mama Celestes. It was really good though. like really yummy.
Sunday we had breakfast at the Starbird and Janet and I hit the road. My stomach was killing me from all my splurging but that didn’t stop me from having a drink at breakfast. Um and it also didn’t stop us from hitting up the outlet malls…which of course I loved.

So all in all we had a fantastic time. Just fantastic. I hated to come home to a house that needed cleaning. I picked up a bit then took a shower and read a book in bed and cuddled with the dogs. Ben was in Baltimore with a friend, so by the time he got home he did the exact same thing I did and it was a awesomely quiet and low key Sunday. Just what I need after my fun weekend.
