Happy Happy New Year!!

31 December 2013

I’m so excited what this coming year has in store for me and my small family and for so many good friends of mine. I honestly still can’t believe I’m pregnant and in 2014 I’ll be bringing a baby into our home!

So that said I have lists. No, not resolutions, but to do lists!  Here goes:

Flooring – new throughout the house

Doors – new closet doors in the nursery. I hate bifolds!

Fireplace – whitewash and then reevaluate and possibly paint the mantle

Half wall cap – paint white

Kitchen  - stain cabinets darker, new countertops, new sink

Nursery – new flooring (of course see above), new doors, window treatments, recover wing back chair, design and put together room!

I’m sure there’s more but I’m starting with a reasonable list, right?! haha.  I’ve decided to design the nursery based around a crib that my mother in law has offered to give us.  It needs some adjustments made to it but for the most part it’s a very sturdy and beautiful crib

Happy 2014 friends!!! I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store for everyone.

Did you know I have a personal photographer?

02 January 2013

Yeah her name is Janet, and she is my friend, and she never stops taking pictures when we’re together. Frankly I wish I didn’t have to relive my ass dancing all around the place on new years, but whatevskis. Actually I really do love it. I don’t think I’d have any pictures of myself in 2012 if it wasn’t for her.

So without further adoooJ new years party 2012

The party box.

Flip cup! Which I am actually still pretty decent at. P.s. I switched to beer here. Previously my friends that are a bad influence and shall not be named convinced me to drink wine while playing a drinking game and that led me to a bad hangover so I skipped that this time around.

DANCE PARTY!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

And that’s it. I mean there’s more but don’t you think I’ve shared enough of my kind friend Janet’s photos?! I do. Thank you Janet! There was obviously a lot more happening while we were in our own little world, but we had a pretty good time….until next year!

p.s. I just noticed Ben is wearing a different color hat in several pictures. He appears in red and yellow in this photo gallery alone! I can’t imagine him stealing someone’s hat so I’m wondering if someone was playing a game with him and just kept switching his hats up?

Happy New Year!!!

01 January 2013

I hope you have a wonderful 2013, and that you brought the New Year in with people that you love and care about.
Now, back to blogging as usual. I’m actually happy the holidays are over; tonight on the menu is rice and veggies for dinner. See holiday menus are in the past.  And Ben is cooking I couldn’t ask for much more.
Lots of love from the entire Roberts clan~ pictures of last night’s Rowdy adventures to come

Happy New Year’s Eve!!

Here is us NYE 2007…

I’ve been thinking a lot about this past year because it was an emotional one for my husband and I.  We’ve had quite a few highs and as you know quite a few lows, but we’ve pushed through it.  I am certain 2013 is going to be a great year for us.

I decided I would make a list of all the big and/or happy things that happened this year.  Personally I think everyone should take the time to do this.  Write it on scrap paper if you need to, but take the time to appreciate what’s been happening in your life.  This is just a start for me. I need to keep thinking and adding to the list!

January – my nephew Emmett was born

February – Ben and I drove home to Ohio to meet Emmett

March – my birthday month. Always amazing:)

April – Ben’s birthday, started my detox which was life changing

May – my niece Lilly was born

June – summer fun with amazing new friends

July – Ashley moved in with us

August –

September – our 5 year anniversary!! Long weekend away

October – started the process with the Reproductive Endocronologist, Halloween at the beach with Brittany and Ashley

November – Thanksgiving with the Hofverberg’s at the farm and then a long weekend in the Catskills. Chimney for our woodstove was built

December – Home to Ohio to see my family, quality time with my grams and grams:) which is priceless!, chimney for woodstove was finished and the fire is a burning!!
